FREE EBOOKLET http://www.sweetnaturalliving.com Let’s talk a little bit about the infamous healing crisis also known as the detox reaction, that people often experience when they first go raw.

As soon as you take any step in the direction of health, coming from a point of unhealthy living, there will be an increase in vitality and hence an increase in healing activity.

Have you ever sprained your ankle? When is it most painful? It’s certainly not worst right after the injury, the pain starts becoming annoying first when you are at home resting, and especially when you go to bed at night! This is because the the body now initiates healing, and healing is usually painful in the first and most acute stages.

So when you first go raw, you might experience an increase in uncomfortable symptoms before you start feeling better. Go with the flow, ride it out and trust the ability of the body to heal. A body overwhelmed by a daily onslaught of toxins through cooked foods, preservatives and the general stress of digesting heavy foods will now suddenly start eliminating the waste products at a faster rate than usual, now that the constant attack has stopped!

What goes up must come down. What goes in must come out! It’s a simple case of physics!

We used to eat a standard western diet more or less and went from that to a vegetarian diet many years ago. The benefits felt great so we continued on that path. Several years later we went vegan and a few months later we went 100% raw vegan.

Over the years we tweaked the diet further, ending up on what would be termed a high carb, low fat raw vegan diet based on fruits mainly.

The benefits of a raw food diet are many, and it continues amaze us every day. In this video we share some of our thoughts and experiences transitioning to a near fruitarian diet.

2 x 25 reps 25 hip ups each side
5 x 6 reps 30 russian twist each side
30 second plank
cobra stretch
3 x 10 reps 30 leg lifts each leg
3 x 10 reps 30 donkey kicks each leg
