ABC premiered My Diet Is Better Than Yours on Thursday, just in time for many people to have given up on their New Year’s resolutions. If you’d rather watch others try to lose weight and get healthy, this may be right up your alley. Five contestants each choose a trainer who coaches them in the trainer’s signature diet and fitness plan. Those coaches and their plans vary wildly: From a vegan diet to a bacon cheeseburger “diet” to a no-diet diet, they all believed that their plan was the one that would get their clients to reach their goals and win the ,000 prize. Two of the coaches stood out for their interesting methods: One trainer worked out her client while simultaneously grocery shopping, and another camped out in his client’s front yard.
