If you eat 2,000 or 2,500 calories a day and stay active you'll probably become obese.

  2. Oh yea yea says:

I eat like 400 calories a day because it’s so hard to eat anymore I’m not aneroxic, it’s just to much for me to eat

  3. takahashiwongwong1 says:

If the body held onto body fat aka starvation mode we would all die. Thats what our body fat is, stored food that our body uses in case there is no food around. Its a survival mechanism, feeding off our fat stores is what keeps us alive.

  4. Aryan Street says:

I think your coloric needs vary based on your ethnicity sometimes. Also, your gender.

  5. Garrett Widner says:

She's right about it not being sustainable for long periods of time but a <1,000 calorie diet is very doable for short periods of time, it's even common for doctors in bariatrics to put patients on very low calorie (VLC) diets and have caloric deficits well over 1k (although that would be more like 1,800 calories for a 400 pound person).

You're way more likely to crash and binge on a VLC diet but it's not dangerous if you've got plenty of body fat to sustain yourself. Try starting out on a VLC diet and if it isn't working for you, progress to more common deficits like 500-700 calorie deficits.

  6. Ioni B. says:

Bruh i used to eat like 700 cals a day and exercise for like an hour

  7. Michael Pollard says:

Take up your nonsense with Michael Mosley!

  8. H L says:

Completely ignoring the metabolic process our body uses to create energy from fat… as if everyone, regardless of composition, immediately begins to starve to death the minute they stop eating.

  9. Miss Diana says:

If "starvation mode" was real, then wouldn't anorexia not exist?

  10. Dorfler says:

Says 1000 calorie a day diet is not advisable yet fails to address that the longest a person has fasted (under medical supervision) was over 380 days (with only consuming water, multivitamin, and electrolytes). There was no drop in metabolic rate, there was no "starvation mode", and no harm was noted.

  11. Henri Pellumbi says:

I think this is kinda bullshit, at first I was at 147lbs and was exercising a lot and lifting but somehow I was still chubby, but now im at 124lbs and I eat about 1000 calories a day and do cardio exercise everyday. im 5’6 btw

  12. tHe uNdErChEeK says:

Idk how many calories I have a day. I may eat half a muffin in the morning then half of my dinner , or just skip breakfast and have some lunch at school then skip dinner.

  13. M J says:

    useless video

  14. Hannah Hannah says:

I eat 1000 calories a day now because I need to lose weight
But you will be surprised how much healthy food you can eat for 1000 calories. I eat full proper meals and snacks in all under 1000 calories. This is because I cut out all sweets/rubbish e.c.t

  15. EllaAlleEllaAlle says:

I’ve never really counted my calories.. but some days I can manage with eating 3 pieces of bread.. while other days I feel hungry the entire day. I have a weird diet/body and I’m only 13 @-@

  16. ♡Cries in Gucci♡ says:

Uhh is it bad if I usually eat less that 1000? I’m fine through out the day and I have very high energy. I remember I counted my calories for a class I was taking and throughout the week I only ate 611-900 calories. Should I increase my food intake?

  17. Mini Mixers says:
