What’s Stalling My Weight Loss? Sneaky, Creepy things to Watch For…

Wondering, “What’s Stalling My Weight Loss?” Realize that Big-Food is in business to make money, not to improve your health, or help you lose weight. When you understand this concept, you will understand why they can’t resist sneaking sugar into their products and then tricking you into thinking they’re healthy.

Sugars can be renamed and hidden in many, many products, even in products that don’t taste sweet at all. Spicy, hearty sauces, soups and dressings can be filled with enough sugar to stall your weight loss.

Other non-sugar additives can also elevate your insulin levels and stall your weight loss. Products promoted specifically for weight-loss are some of the worst examples of this…

  1. Good info Dr Berry!! I see a lot of people in Keto groups on facebook using most of the products you mentioned that will stall weight loss. Another misconception i see people have is that they dont think they need to worry about their insulin level, they think they can eat whatever they want as long as its under 20 carbs…

  2. How much meat needs to be consumed to spike your blood sugar? Or how much (on average) can a grown male consume without spiking blood sugar?

  3. Keep being "Snarky" it is a nice dose of levity. Your info has helped me since the end of Nov. Have lost 30 pounds, and dropped three meds (2 BP and one for acid). Hope to drop the last two after a visit to cardio doctor later this year. More energy, no food coma, sleeping better then ever. One thing I have not heard you or anyone else speak of, increased libido. I am 60 had have more energy then when I was in my 40's. Kinda shows how bad of shape I was in then. Thank you Dr. for doing what you do.

  4. Thank you for this video, Dr. Ken. I just found two items I thought were keto friendly that had vegetable oil and soybean oil in them!!! I had checked the carb and sugar counts and they were both low BUT still included those oils. I was wondering why my weight had stalled. I really needed this video!

  5. Help me Dr. Berry!! I've been doing the keto for a little over a month now and I'm down 19 lbs and feeling great but I've hit a stall I just can't seem to break through it. I'm very careful with the foods I eat, nothing processed, no sneaky sugars or carbs and I keep my protein in check. Could you please give me some meal ideas to follow to help break this stall? Oh and side note I have IBS and keto has completely changed the quality of my life for the better! 🙂

  6. My "superfood" has 2gm of sugar as well as my protein supplement. Is that a thing to worry over? I am still in ketosis even with that. Feeling great nonetheless! Any comments are welcome!

  7. My mom is driving me crazy. She wants my help eating this way, I try and try, but then she eats breaded chicken, pintos, and biscuits…..

  8. Great info! Thanks! What about stabilyze bars from Costco I live those chocolate protein bars for treats??? Are they ok to eat

  9. Man…. Buffalo wild wings sweet bbq boneless wings have 8 grams of sugar per wing. Per wing! I was so sad when I found out about that

  10. Great video Dr Berry – lots of useful information. I’m off to double check everything in my fridge and pantry armed with my reading glasses for the teeny weeny printed ingredients ( another big corporation trick so you can’t easily read what they really sneak in there.)

  11. You are very knowledgeable and I love the information you share. But please stop making that noise with your mouth, that is really annoying and a flaw to your speech.

  12. if you eat full fat protein sources then you almost can not overeat protein.
dr.berg said keep it around 35g per meal depending on age.
thomas delauer has proven that people that go to gym need actually less protein.
